Frugalmatic Fitness: a new program to move more and sit less

This post was last updated on October 25th, 2025 at 04:48 pm

One of my goals in creating the Frugalmatic website has been to inspire people to become more physically active. I’m not talking about training to run a marathon or anything that intense. I’m talking about simply moving more and sitting less.

However, moving more and sitting less doesn’t happen so easily for everyone. In today’s digital world, you can work, shop, and play without leaving your chair. How do you escape that chair when there’s no need to get up? Well, today I’m announcing the release of a new fitness program created for people who want a more active lifestyle but find it elusive.

Introducing Frugalmatic Fitness

AndrewI created Frugalmatic Fitness for people who would benefit from a program designed to help them identify and consistently act on opportunities to move more.

One of the best things about Frugalmatic Fitness: It’s customizable. It’s not me telling you when and how to move. You pick the movements, while Frugalmatic Fitness provides the step-by-step process to introduce these movements into your routine.

Let Frugalmatic Fitness be your guide

I would never claim becoming physically active is easy. It takes effort, and, of course, Frugalmatic Fitness doesn’t do the work for you. Rather, it’s the guide for your journey.

Because here’s the thing about having an active lifestyle: It’s more than exercise.  Frugalmatic Fitness gives legitimacy not only to the “big movements” but also the small ones. In focusing on movements other than only exercise, the program can help you sustain movement throughout the day, week, month, and year.

Finding a healthy balance

The truth is, we as a society receive conflicting messages about the importance of movement. On the one hand, we’re told exercising is all-important, and we’re reminded of this through Nike, Peloton, and other fitness-related commercials. On the other hand, we’re told to take it easy and sink as deep into the sofa as we’d like.

We don’t need to get up to vacuum the carpet anymore—a robotic vacuum cleaner will do it for us! Out of groceries? There’s no need to walk the store aisles—have groceries delivered with a few clicks of an app. Not surprisingly, the pandemic has accelerated the trend toward sedentary living. The message we’re too often receiving is clear: Don’t get up!

What many of us lack is a healthy balance between movement and inactivity. And despite our best intentions, it’s easy to become distracted and fall into old sedentary ways. Frugalmatic Fitness will keep you focused and moving in the right direction. Most importantly, it’s designed to help you turn your movement goals into new healthy habits.

To help get you started, I will also be including with your purchase of Frugalmatic Fitness my publication, 101 Ways to Move More and Sit Less.

Both Frugalmatic Fitness and 101 Ways will be delivered to you via a downloadable PDF. I use a company called Payhip to distribute Frugalmatic Fitness. Simply click the button below to place your order. It’s just $19. An active lifestyle is within your reach. You can make it happen.
